Only one fuel on bill after switching

Most dual-fuel switches happen within 20 days, but sometimes there’s a delay in billing for one fuel. This usually means that we’re supplying both fuels from the expected date, but billing is not yet set up.

When you sign up to OVO, we’ll ask for your gas and electricity opening readings. Then independent companies will check those against your meter reading history. We have to do this to make sure you're charged the right amount during your switch.

Gas and electricity readings get checked separately and sometimes one takes longer. Both should come back to us within 6 weeks.
This might result in you getting a higher bill afterwards as it'll include the catch-up charges for the gap for one fuel.
