Smart meter not sending readings
Sometimes we're unable to get automatic readings from your smart meter. This will be down to one of the following reasons:
- If your smart meter's an older (or incompatible) model, we're unable to receive automatic readings from it. If your smart meter has never sent OVO an automatic reading, please read your meter yourself and send us your reading(s). When we get a reading from you we’ll update your account with your accurate energy use and charges.
Book an appointment to get a new smart meter.
- Even the latest next-generation smart meters (SMETS2) can sometimes become inactive. This usually fixes itself, so please keep checking back into your account. As soon as your smart meter sends us a reading your account balance will update with your accurate energy use and costs.
